We are excited to announce that our next engagement will be at Axmouth’s Music on the Green Festival for the second year running! Join us on Saturday 17th August 2019 from 6pm – 9pm as we perform our new singing set “Walking on Sunshine” starting at 7pm. Entry costs on £3 and adult and children are free!

We are also very excited to announce our next play written by Willy Russell (Blood Brothers) ‘Our Day Out’ set in the 1970’s about a class of school children’s day trip our to the countryside. We cant wait to perform this to you in November, watch this space for performance dates coming soon. We are also very excited that Paul Sherman who recommended this show to us will be hosting some workshops with us as well as launching the show to us this summer!

The future for ACT is very exciting with plans for the new musical in place for 2020 which will be our most expensive and ambitious musical yet! Watch this space as we reveal this to you very soon!
Also our fourth play in 2020 is in construction! Exciting times for ACT!

LATEST NEWS – 28th April 2019

Thank you to all those audience members who turned up to see our 2019 musical of ‘Hairgel 2’ we hope we will see you again at our next production later in the year.

We would like to thank Seaton Tesco for a grant of £1000 and Waitrose in Sidmouth for a grant of £261. This money went towards our new lighting and sound system which was used for the first time in our 2019 musical.

Following on from our successful singing performance at Axmouth’s Music on the Green last summer, we are pleased to announce we will be making our second appearance at this years Music on the Green on the 17th August,  5.00pm till 9.00pm. We will be performing at 6.30pm.

Paul Sherman (Writer of ‘Kilmainham Kids‘ and ‘Penny for your Thoughts‘) is working with the director of Axmouth Children’s Theatre on a brand new exciting project containing six small plays within a central theme. Paul has expressed an interest in ACT performing it for the first time and for him to come down for the second year and launch the project with some fun drama workshops. More to be announced at a later date.

Two years ago the members of ACT took a trip down to Torquay to see the touring production of ‘Dreamboats and Peticoats’. This October the cast of ‘Hairgel 2’ will be taking a trip down to the Princess Theatre to see the west end touring musical of ‘Joseph and his amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’. The cast are looking forward to seeing the show and telling you all about it!

SATURDAY 8th December 11.30am Seaton Victorian Market in Windsor Gardens.

Membership to stay at £10.00 for coming year Aug 2018 – Aug 2019.

Rehearsals for our next show ‘Penny For Your Thoughts’ begin Tuesday 4th September 6pm – 7.30.

Details of our next Musical will be announced shortly, rehearsals begin in November with production end of March 2019.

LATEST NEWS – SEPTEMBER 2017

MIA’S MAMMA a fun musical for everyone, packed with all of your favourite ABBA tunes. FRI 16th MARCH 7.30pm SAT 17th MARCH 3pm & 7.30pm in Axmouth Village Hall. Tickets £5.00 adult, £2.50 U14 or £12.50 for Family Ticket (2 + 2 ) Box Office 01297 23847.

ACT next production will be a new musical written by Malcolm Henty called MIAS MAMMA this will be performed in Axmouth Village Hall on Friday 16th Mach at 7.30pm and there will be two shows on Saturday 17th March a Matinne at 2.30pm and an Evening Show at 7.30pm

Tickets go on sale from January 1st 2018

 

Next production will be a musical written by Malcolm Henty called “Mias Mamma” this play has been cast and rehearsals start on Tuesday 17th October for shows early 2018. More to follow.

“Help for the Heroes” following our recent variety shows we are very pleased to announce that we were able to donate £254.00 to the H4H Charity and also bank £217.00 towards future ACT productions

Sat 22nd July : “Dreamboats & Petticoats” Princes Theatre Torquay. The group will be visiting Torquay for the matinee performance. Following the show some of the cast will be meeting our kids. Should be a fun day out.

“HEROES SHOW FOR HEROES CHARITY” The Friday & Saturday night shows on Fri 30th June and Sat 1st July will be performed with all proceeds being split 50/50 between ACT for future performances and “Help for Heroes”. There will be a collection bucket at each performance for H4H
