Axmouth Children’s Theatre (ACT) members were delighted with their new 2018 musical ‘Mia’s Mamma’.

The 2018 ACT Musical was performed on March 16, at 7.30pm and on Saturday, March 17, at 3pm, and again at 7pm.

The show, written and directed by Malcolm Henty, contained lot’s of fun and plenty of ‘well known’ sing-along songs as you would expect from the title.

Mr Henty said: “Having performed the serious play Kilmainham Kids by Paul Sherman in September, the cast were given the choice of doing a pantomime or musical and the musical won hands down.

“A dedicated back stage crew have been overseeing the rehearsals and costume designs and a new back screen projection system is being used for the first time.”

So who is ‘Mia’ and what’s her ‘Mamma’ got to do with it?

ACT is looking forward to the 2019 musical to be performed in Axmouth Village Hall in March.
